FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: drain which has a drain housing with a connection, to which a sewage pipeline, a siphon which has a siphon branch pipe, which has an upper end with an inlet and a lower outlet which enters an open-top siphon glass designed to form a siphon tank, and a means of fire protection to block the siphon in case of fire using intumescent material, are connected. According to the invention, there is a plug in the siphon glass and an intumescent material is provided between the plug and the siphon glass in such a way that in case of fire, the plug by means of an expanding intumescent material is pressed against the outlet of the siphon branch pipe, sealing the outlet, wherein the plug is made preferably in the form of a platy piston and is placed in a correspondingly made cylindrical glass of the siphon.
