METHOD AND GENERATOR FOR FIRE AND EXPLOSION PREVENTION IN DIFFERENT STRUCTURES Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A62C3/00 E21F5/00

Abstract RU 2292927 C1

FIELD: fire protection, particularly to prevent dust fires and explosions in mines, in fuel and solid mineral mining, processing and shipping enterprises and woodworking industry characterized by presence of airborne dust.

SUBSTANCE: method involves decontaminating dust by filling structure interior with fire-extinguishing aerosol, which precipitates on dust particles, along with generator movement inside the structure and ventilation and draught prevention in structure interior up to full aerosol precipitation. Gas generator for above method realization comprises tubular body, air blower and combustion chamber coaxially installed in tubular body. The tubular body is fastened to movable chassis and is provided with feeding bell, cyclone, inlet filter and battery to energize air-blower and thermoelement. The tubular body has section with widened diameter formed in zone of air-blow and filter installation. Combustion chamber outlet is of convergent shape. Feeding bell is of tubular shape and provided with sealable lid arranged at loading end thereof. Another end of the feeding bell may abut upon inner combustion chamber surface. The feeding bell also has discharge window arranged from the side of narrowed combustion chamber part. Tubular body is made as cyclone inlet pipe and has hollow walls to be filled with cooling liquid. The tubular body is provided with outlet orifices. Inlet filter is made as rigid cup. Movable chassis has hooks for generator haulage and with catches for generator suspension.

EFFECT: increased manufacturability, reliability and safety of fire and explosion prevention for different gust generation plants and mines, reduced costs, extended field of application irrespective of industry branch, possibility of repeated generator usage.
