FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: in the method for testing electrical equipment of vehicles for susceptibility to external electromagnetic field the electrical equipment under test is installed in onboard vehicle network and exposed to external radiation impact with the specified parameters. At each frequency of influencing radiation, the vehicle is positioned in the horizontal plane in relation to the external source of electromagnetic field in a certain range of angles. During the tests, the angular velocity of the vehicle with respect to the external radiation source must not exceed 5 deg/s. In this case, the minimum distance between the external radiation source and the vehicle is selected based on the maximum linear dimension of the vehicle in the horizontal plane and the angle of the primary beam in the horizontal plane of the external radiation source.

EFFECT: increased completeness of noise resistance determination.
