FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method for testing electrical equipment of motor vehicles for susceptibility to the electromagnetic field, wherein the test electrical equipment is mounted in the on-board vehicle network, and the electromagnetic field is subjected alternately to the acts in the predetermined frequency band formed by the amplitude-modulated, pulse-modulated and harmonic signals. The causes of the electrical equipment operability failures at a certain frequency are determined based on the analysis: the maximum field amplitude, the maximum amplitude of the harmonic field signal, the current field level, the current level of the harmonic field signal, the modulation field depth; the duty cycle.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of detecting the propagation channel of the electromagnetic interferences.
