SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic testing of remote start systems for internal combustion engines. Method for testing engine starting systems consists of placing a vehicle containing a starting system in a chamber protected from external factors, in which a field-forming device is located. At the same time, the performance check of the starting system is carried out based on the engine starting under the influence of an electromagnetic field emitted by a field-forming device. In the process of testing, a radio communication system with a communication module of the ERA-GLONASS system is used, during radio communication with which commands are received to start the engine. An interference-free wired communication line, a remote engine start control system, a remote start control system interface, an engine stop system, an engine stop system interface, a start counter, and a start counter reset system are disclosed. The criterion for the operability of the starting system is the fact that the engine is started.

EFFECT: providing tests of remote engine start systems controlled by radio.
