SUBSTANCE: method for radio link control (RLC) retransmission failure message comprises the following stages: communicating with both the first BS and the second BS, the first BS has radio resource control (RRC) connections with the UE; transmitting a message to the first BS about the RLC retransmission failure without re-establishing the RRC connection for the first BS if the RLC retransmission failure occurs in the RLC entity transmitting a RLC protocol data unit (PDU) to the second BS.
