FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for forming an ophthalmic lens, to a method for forming a multicomponent insert for an ophthalmic lens, according to which at least the first rear and front curved insert elements are formed. Conductive material is placed on one or both of the first front and rear curved insert elements. An electronic component is attached to one or both of the first front and rear curved insert elements. The attachment is done to the conductive material. The first material is applied to form a first seal on the surface of either or both of the first front and rear curved insert elements. The first rear curved insert element is combined with the first front curved insert element to form the first element of the ophthalmic insert. The combination results in sealing the first cavity, internal to the combination of the first rear and front curved insert element, with the first material.
EFFECT: increasing the functionality of the ophthalmic lens.
