FIELD: automotive engineering.
SUBSTANCE: speed of vehicle, torques on wheels, wheel loads and angular velocities of wheel rotation are measured. Additionally, air pressure in tires and depth of tread change under each wheel during the motion of the vehicle are measured. Measurement results are delivered to the processing unit where total torque, fed to all wheels of the vehicle; vehicle gravity; radius of i-th wheel rolling; change of torque in time and change of radius of wheels rolling in time; coefficient of rolling resistance of wheel, and also coefficient of rolling resistance of the vehicle is calculated. These data are sent to control signal generation unit.
EFFECT: reduction of power consumption and increased off-road ability of the vehicle.
