SUBSTANCE: bioabsorbable semi-crystal segmented block copolymer is described, containing a reaction product of: (a) amorphous prepolymer, formed by polymerization of lactide monomer and epsilon-caprolactone monomer in the presence of an initiator, and molar ratio of lactide and epsilon-caprolactoneu in the prepolymer is from 45:55 to 30:70; and (b) lactide monomer with the specified lactide monomer bioabsorbable semi-crystal segmented block copolymer having duplicate links of polymerized lactide and polymerized epsilon-caprolactone, where the molar ratio of polymerized lactide and polymerized epsilon-caprolactone is from 60:40 to 75:25. A bioabsorbable surgical suture containing the above copolymer is also described. A bioabsorbable medical implantable device comprising the above copolymer is described.
EFFECT: preparation of a polymer for manufacture of long-term resorbable surgical sutures and medical devices.
