FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: uroflowmetry is conducted after selection of an individual urogynecological pessary. The data of uroflowmetry are evaluated. With a maximum urine flow rate of 14 ml/s and above, volume of urine output of at least 90 ml and not more than 550 ml, residual urine volume of 0-100 ml for a normal act of urination, an effective selection of urogynecological pessary is determined. With a maximum rate of less than 14 ml/s, volume of urine output of at least 90 ml and not more than 550 ml, residual urine volume of more than 100 ml for an obstructive type of urination, an inefficient selection of urogynecological pessary is determined.
EFFECT: method allows to increase the efficiency of pessary selection in patients with pelvic organ prolapse by evaluating the most significant parameters.
