SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an air-metal rechargeable battery (1) containing a housing (11), inside which an air electrode (22), a negative electrode (3) and an electrolyte are located, wherein the air electrode (22) can be removed from the housing and is located in the cassette. The invention also relates to a cathode compartment (2) for a battery with an air electrode comprising an air electrode and designed to be mounted in the battery housing but not being part of the housing, wherein the mentioned compartment is movable and removable.

EFFECT: increased battery life is the technical result of the invention.
