FIELD: pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a liposome preparation for cancer treatment comprising a liposome suspension in the aqueous phase, the said liposomes comprise at least one liposomal membrane in which up to 5 mol % of at least one therapeutically active substance having log P of more than 1 and represented by taxane is present, and at least one osmotically active substance is present in the aqueous phase, the osmolarity of the aqueous phase within the liposomes, Oin, is above the osmolarity of the aqueous phase outside the liposomes, Oout, and the difference between Oout and Oin is at least 10 mOsm and up to 2000 mOsm. The invention also relates to versions of a method for preparation of such a liposome drug and to its application for cancer treatment.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of liposomes loading with an active agent and improved stability of formulations.
