SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to calibrate receiving active phased antenna arrays (APAA) used in early warning radar. At the entrance of each receiving module serves calibration signal in the form of a coherent sequence of N performed, which has the value of one order with power signals to the inputs of the reception modules when running in normal mode. After its amplification, conversion to an intermediate frequency and an analogue-to-digital conversion with the allocation of quadrature components of the complex amplitudes of the output signals of the receiving modules, its sequentially N-fold coherent summation. Complex calibration coefficients are formed by comparing the complex amplitude of the accumulated output signal of the receiving module received as reference, with the complex amplitudes of the accumulated output signals of the calibrated receiver modules. Aligning the complex transmission coefficients of receiving modules to ensure uniform amplitude-phase distribution of the field at the opening of APAA is executed by complex multiplication of complex amplitudes of output signals calibrated receiving modules to the corresponding complex calibration coefficients. And the APAA pattern is formed by weighting the complex amplitude of the output signal of the reference receiver module with the corrected values of the complex amplitudes of the output signals of all calibrated receiving modules.
EFFECT: improving calibration accuracy while simplifying the design of the active phased array antenna receive module.
