SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for calibrating transceiving active phased antenna arrays (PAA). The method of calibrating the active PAA, in which to calibrate the receiving channels of the transceiving modules, a control signal is fed at their inputs, based on the comparison of the amplitudes and phases of output signals of the receiving channels of the calibrated modules with an amplitude and phase of the output signal of the receiving channel of the reference transceiving module to form correction signals, which are used for adjusting the complex coefficients of the transmission of the receiving channels of the calibrated transceiving modules. Similarly, calibration of transmitting channels of the transceiving modules is carried out, wherein the calibration of the transmitting channels of the modules is carried out regardless of calibration of the receiving channels of the modules, as a reference one a transceiving module is selected, located in the center of the active aperture of the active PAA, and the formation of the correcting signals is carried out with a view to ensuring the required law of the amplitude of the field distribution over the aperture of the transceiving active phased array.

EFFECT: increasing the calibration accuracy of the transmitting channels of the active phased array antenna of the transceiving modules, expanding the range of possible applications of the calibration method, and providing the required amplitude distribution at the antenna aperture.
