FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronic devices and methods of processing text. In the method for creating a summary of digital text, a summary of the digital text is created by selecting sentences from the digital text based on the calculated size of the sentence. Size of the sentence is calculated based on the digital text itself without the use of ontological dictionaries. Method includes determining the size of the sentence by first breaking down the sentence into one or more of conceptual phrases and further determining the digital text for the sentence: a non-contextual value for said conceptual phrases and a contextual value for said conceptual phrases.
EFFECT: technical result is wider range of technical means of creating a summary of digital text.
