FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for computer processing of quotes in digital text in order to determine an author associated with them. Plurality of digital texts is obtained. Multiple digital texts are parsed to extract one or more quotes. Determining at least one candidate author for each digital text. Value of quotation similarity is assigned for this quote in respect to each of one or more other quotes. Cluster of quotes is created, which contains one or more similar quotes and a set of candidate authors. Set of candidate authors is analyzed to determine a candidate authors who satisfies the condition. Candidate author who satisfies the condition is stored as the author of one or more similar quotes.
EFFECT: reduced rate of determining the author of quotes in the text.
