ENDOSCOPE EXTERNAL TUBE FOR INTRODUCTION THROUGH NATURAL HOLES OF BODY Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B1/273

Abstract RU 2642953 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: tube comprises: a tubular member having a proximal portion and a distal portion and a length between them sufficient to extend from the patient's oral cavity to the stomach. This tubular member forms a central passage for endoscope reception therethrough; and a hub assembly connected to the said proximal portion of the said tubular member. The said hub assembly includes: a longitudinally symmetric rigid body member having an inner surface defining an opening of the inner portion with the first diameter, an outer surface and a fluid line coupling member. The rigid body is provided with the first coupling member at the first end and with the second coupling member at the second end. The first and second coupling members are the same; a flexible cuff extending within the said inner surface of the said body member. The cuff has an outer surface, an inner surface and the first and second ends. The said first and second ends of the cuff are turned out over the outer surface of the said body member and fixed relative to the said body member. The said outer surface of the cuff and the said inner surface of the said body member communicate with the said fluid line coupling member, a tube clamping ring assembly connected to the said first coupling member of the said body member. The said tubular ring clamping assembly connects the said tubular member relative to the said hub assembly and includes an inner clamping ring partially extending inside the said proximal portion of the said tubular member and an outer clamping ring that extends over the said proximal portion of the said tubular member and the said inner clamping ring, to immobilize the said proximal portion of the tubular member between the said inner and outer clamping rings and to them. These inner and outer clamping rings are directly connected to each other. The said outer clamping ring has a coupling member connected directly to the said first coupling member of the said body member. When the fluid is supplied under pressure through the said fluid line coupling member, the said cuff expands radially inward and defines the second diameter that is smaller than the said first diameter so that when the endoscope is inserted through the said hub assembly and the said cuff defines the said second diameter, the cuff is in contact with the outer surface of the endoscope; and the hub clamping ring fixedly attached to the said second end of the body member. The said hub clamping ring has an inwardly facing portion forming a hub neck defining a proximal entry into the outer tube. The said first and second ends of the said body member are adapted to be connected to both inner clamping ring and hub clamping ring.

EFFECT: application of the invention provides gastrointestinal mucosa protection against injury and limitation of risk of aspiration.
