SUBSTANCE: modular frame designed for a method for contactless measurement of the external sizes of the metallurgical rod-like article cross-sections, contains one scanner and electrical wiring. At that, the modular frame has a polygonal shape, the vertices of which are formed by at least one connecting leg and at least two fixing knees. In addition, these connecting legs and fixing knees are connected by connecting arms equipped with casings with built-in scanners.
EFFECT: increased reliability of measurement of the required parameters, even if the measured product moves or vibrates in vertical direction during measurement.
