FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding, including welding at construction of pipelines and manufacture of large-sized objects. Mobile scanner for determining the surface quality of the weld comprises a displacement module, which includes a platform with a scanning unit located on it, a course track counter, a wireless transmission and information receiving unit. Also, the mobile scanner contains a personal computer in which, through the use of software, a unit for wireless transmission and reception of information, a processor, a unit for constructing a digital reference surface of a weld, a memory device, a unit for constructing a digital copy of surface of the weld, an initial data input unit and the output unit for evaluation results of the surface quality of the weld, the unit for constructing a digital copy of the surface of the weld, the unit for quantifying the conformity of the shape of the weld surface to the shape of the reference standard surface are installed. Displacement module is equipped with an initialization unit for measuring the shape of the weld surface, and the computer center contains a unit for filtering the values of the measured coordinates of the shape of the surface of the weld, a unit for regularizing the values of the measured coordinates of the points of the surface of the weld along the longitudinal axis, a unit for regularizing the values of the measured coordinates of the points in each regularized cross section of the weld, a unit for recognizing the width of the weld in each regularized cross-section, a unit for recognizing and evaluating defects in the shape of the surface of the weld and a visualization unit of defects in the shape of the surface of the weld. Computer center contains a unit for modeling the fracture of the weld along the shape of the surface of the weld.

EFFECT: technical result is the ability to perform the quantitative evaluation of the quality of the weld according to the shape of its surface, to recognize and measure individual defects on the surface of the weld, and also to model fractures of the weld according to the shape of its surface.
