SUBSTANCE: method involves forming a welded joint using a power supply with at least two-volt-ampere characteristics (VAC). In this case, the formation of the weld joint is carried out with a breakdown into steps, for each of which a specific VAC characteristic of the power supply in the form of a Bezier curve is not more than the third order, the two end points of which correspond to the short-circuit current and the no-load voltage, and the switching of the power supply from one VAC to another during the phase change is performed taking into account the value of the welding parameters, in which the current or voltage of the welding arc, the time derivative of the current or voltage of the welding arc, the time intervals of operation of the power supply with a given VAC can be used.
EFFECT: improved welding quality.
