SUBSTANCE: airbag comprises an inflatable air cushion having a first end and a second end. The inflatable cushion can be unfolded by means of gas from the folded position. In the unfolded position, it has length and thickness. The airbag can also have an extended portion on at least one end of the inflatable cushion, when the knee airbag is in the unfolded state. The extended portion increases the cushion thickness, at least at a length portion of at least one of the ends, so that the knee airbag can be asymmetrical. The airbag joint has multiple limiters attached to the front and back airbag surfaces, each of which has a width that is less than the corresponding width between the airbag ends, so one of the ends forms an extended portion next to an unattached edge of each limiter relative to the other end while being inflated.
EFFECT: possibility to limit lateral movement, in addition to moving the user forward in the event of an accident.
