FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: tank has a fuel tank housing forming an inner volume for receiving fuel, an opening formed in the fuel tank housing, being in fluid communication with the inner volume, and a cover closing the opening. The lower part of the fuel tank housing is designed for installation on a snowmobile tunnel. The fuel tank housing forms a channel extending therethrough from the upper part of the fuel tank housing to the lower part of the fuel tank housing. The channel is designed to accommodate a battery. The snowmobile has a fuel tank with a battery located in the channel formed by the fuel tank.
EFFECT: weight reduction of the front part of the snowmobile due to the location of the accumulator in the channel.
