FIELD: wood-working industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of processing foams, polymer and composite materials by cutting. Can be used in the processing of wood and soft metals. Tool for machining materials consists of spiral cutting blade (1), cylindrical body (2) with a screw shaped groove for the cutting blade, cutter shaft (3) with flange, clamping ring (4) and nut (6). Spiral cutting blade is a cylindrical spiral wound from a flat profiled plate, subsequently thermally processed to the required hardness. Technical result of the invention is achieved in that, in order to facilitate re-sharpening of the tool when getting blunt, increase the tool life and durability, its cutting blade is removable and is a spiral made of a flat profiled plate screwed to the stop on a screw threaded cylindrical body and fixed in this position.
EFFECT: technical result of the proposed invention is achieved through the use of sliding cutting and consists in providing high-quality machining of parts while maintaining high tool stability and simple technology of its re-sharpening when getting blunt.
