FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: in method of monitoring fuel consumption per hour at vehicle take-off under load, the machine vehicle is prepared to testing, a fuel flow meter is installed on it, the vehicle is attached to a traction device, the vehicle takes off under load, and simultaneously the value of the fuel consumption per hour is determined. The fuel consumption per hour of the vehicle being tested is measured in the partial load mode - at a predetermined thrust force. The reference value of the fuel consumption per hour for a given traction force is found, and the absolute deviation of the measured fuel consumption from the reference one is calculated. The relative deviation of the measured fuel consumption from the reference fuel is determined by the data obtained, which is compared with the allowable deviation. If the relative deviation of the measured fuel consumption from the reference one is less than the allowed deviation, it is considered that the fuel consumption does not exceed the normative value; if the relative deviation of the measured fuel consumption from the reference one is more than the allowable deviation, it is considered that the fuel consumption exceeds the normative value.
EFFECT: improving the vehicle driving safety.
