FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the machines testing and technical diagnosing. Specific traction fuel consumption determining method in the car breakaway mode at maximum thrust, in which the machine and the traction device with the dynamograph or the dynamometer are prepared for testing. Car is attached to the traction device and measuring the traction maximum force in the car breakaway mode. During preparation for the test, a fuel flow meter is installed on the engine, and during the maximum thrust force measuring, additionally measuring the hourly fuel consumption maximum value using the specified instrument. After testing, calculating the specific traction fuel consumption during the car starting from the rest under load using the formula. Formula takes into account the nominal hourly fuel consumption, measured at partial load the tested machine hourly fuel consumption, the working machine nominal thrust force, the tested machine specified thrust force, the regulatory branch to the horizon slope angle tangent.

EFFECT: enabling increase in the vehicle diagnostic and testing informative value.
