SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the machines testing and technical diagnosing. Preparing the vehicle and the traction device for testing, starting from the rest under load and controlling the traction power value. Tested vehicle traction power is controlled by the crankshaft rotation frequency in the partial loading mode, with full fuel supply. First, finding the crankshaft rotation frequency reference value for the given thrust force corresponding to the operational engine, and setting the found parameter permissible deviation, then measuring the crankshaft rotation frequency at the same partial load and full fuel supply, after which the measured crankshaft rotation frequency obtained value is compared with the reference value. If the crankshaft rotation frequency measured value falls within the permissible deviation, considering that the traction power corresponds to the standard value, if it does not fall, considering that the traction power does not correspond to the standard value.

EFFECT: enabling increase in the vehicle diagnostic and testing informative value.
