SUBSTANCE: system for collecting information from the well comprises a surface controller configured to control the operating parameters of the drill string. The drill string has a drilling tool and optimisation drill collar in the vicinity of the drilling tool, the optimisation drill collar has a sensor, a control unit, a power source and a light source. Said drill collar sensor comprises a sensor fiber, the control unit is connected to the sensor fiber and the surface controller, the light source is connected to the sensor fiber by optical coupling, the power source is electrically connected to the control unit and the light source. The sensor fiber is located on the periphery of the optimisation drill collar and has a refractive index configured with the possibility for changing thereof when one or more properties of the wellbore are changed. The control unit comprises an optical sensor for measuring the refractive index of the sensor fiber and detecting changes in the refractive index of the sensor fiber.
