SUBSTANCE: control system of bottom hole assembly of the drilling string comprises bottom hole assembly comprising one or more drill pipes and a drill bit connected to one or more drill pipes, and a system of sensors for monitoring the BHA, containing: one or more sections of optical fiber, a signal source module comprising an optical signal source arranged to emit an optical signal into one or more optical fiber segments, a signal detection module comprising an optical signal receiver arranged to detect an optical signal, a signal processing module which contains an electronic processor which is directed from the signal source module along one or more sections of optical fiber and which is capable of communicating with the detection module, and an operator's console or interface configured to communicate with the signal processing module. At that the signal processing module is programmed so that during the operation of the system: is determines the measurement data based on detected optical signal of thermomechanical properties at a plurality of different locations on one or more drill pipes, while the BHA is used to drill a well and send a signal to the operator's console or interface when the measurement data exceeds the threshold value.

EFFECT: maintenance of downhole tools within safe operating limits.
