SUBSTANCE: method of producing a capsular Haemophilus influenzae type b polysaccharide, application of the above mentioned capsular polysaccharide of for producing a vaccine formulation and method of producing a vaccine formulation. The method of producing capsular polysaccharide includes cultivation of Haemophilus influenzae type b strain in a cultural medium, collection and processing of the culture supernatant for extracting capsular polysaccharide. Moreover, the cultural medium contains zinc and does not contain a complex source of nitrogen or carbon. The method for producing the vaccine formulation comprises of the production of the above capsular polysaccharide and conjugation of the capsular polysaccharide with the carrier protein.

EFFECT: increase in the production of polysaccharide without increasing endotoxins.
