FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: system for eye lubrication during an ophthalmic operation contains: a fluid nozzle; a nozzle mounting device configured to retain the fluid nozzle stable with respect to the patient's eye; a fluid reservoir connected to the fluid nozzle; and a fluid control device configured to adjust the fluid flow from the fluid reservoir to the eye lubrication nozzle, an activation device configured to activate and deactivate the fluid control device. The activation device comprises a computer and is configured to activate the fluid control device until a predetermined amount of fluid is discharged. At that, the activation device further comprises a sensor configured to recognize the dryness of the eye. The method for control of the eye lubrication system during an ophthalmic operation comprises the steps of: determination whether a fluid is needed to moisturize the eye during an ophthalmic operation, based on the eye dryness recognized by the sensor; fluid control device activation; and fluid control device deactivation.
EFFECT: application of this group of inventions will improve the view of the anterior chamber.
