FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: surgical knife comprises a base including the first front surface and the second front surface opposite to each other, the first side surface and the second side surface opposite to each other, an end surface and a cutting module opposite to each other. The cutting module includes the first cutting element. The first cutting element comprises the first surface and the second surface located at angles of less than 90° with to the first front surface and forming the first cutting edge and the second cutting edge, respectively, with it. The first surface and the second surface form the first edge and the second edge with the second front surface and the third edge with each other. The third edge ends in the intersection of the first cutting edge and the second cutting edge with the first pointed edge. The cutting module is further provided with the second cutting element comprising the third surface located at an angle of less than 90° to the first front surface and forming the third cutting edge therewith and the fourth edge with the second front surface. The first surface and the third surface form the first joint between them, terminating in the intersection of the first cutting edge and the third cutting edge with the first joint. The cutting module is further provided with the third cutting element comprising the fourth surface located at an angle of less than 90° to the first front surface and forming the fourth cutting edge therewith and the fifth edge with the second front surface. The second surface and the fourth surface form the second joint between them, terminating in the intersection of the second cutting edge and the fourth cutting edge with the second joint. The third surface and the fourth surface form, with the first side surface and the second side face, respectively, the fifth cutting edge and the sixth cutting edge that form the second pointed edge and the third pointed edge at the intersection with the third cutting edge and the fourth cutting edge.

EFFECT: reduced force that must be applied to the knife, elimination of hitch and unauthorized entry into biological tissue.
