FIELD: built-up cutting tools used for working at downward directed feed inclined relative to axis of tool.

SUBSTANCE: tool having rotation axis includes body and at least one cutting tip mounted on body in seat. Said seat has lengthwise inner wall whose direction coincides with that of rotation axis of cutting tool; back wall adjacent to inner wall and normal to it, lower wall adjacent to inner wall and to back wall and normal relative to them. End of lower wall protrudes forward relative to central part of tool body through which rotation axis passes. Threaded opening passes downward from lower wall. Front protrusion extending upwards from lower wall is arranged inside and backwards relative to periphery of tool body. Front protrusion has frontal surface normal to lower wall of seat, back surface and upper surface that joins frontal and back surfaces. Cutting tip includes upper surface, lower surface and lateral surface arranged between upper and lower surfaces; central through hole arranged between upper surface and lower surface; groove formed on lower surface and having lateral wall spaced from through hole axis and normal relative to lower surface; lateral wall arranged near axis of through hole and upper surface that joins both lateral walls. In assembled tool cutting tip is mounted in respective seat by means of fastening screw passing through said through hole and engaged with threaded opening. Lower surface of cutting tip engages with lower wall of seat. Radial bearing surface formed on cutting tip lateral surface adjacent to inner wall of seat engages with radial bearing surface of seat. Frontal surface of front protrusion engages with spaced lateral wall of groove. Back part of cutting tip is mounted with gap relative to back wall of seat.

EFFECT: improved reliability of mounting cutting tip due to action of radial cutting efforts directed outside.
