FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to the preparation of biologically active preparations. Method for isolating the ML1 protein from mistletoe white and a pharmaceutical composition (variants) are provided. This involves extracting the protein from the dried leaves of mistletoe white in 0.25M NaCl solution, carrying out three purification steps, including affinity chromatography with lactosyl-containing sorbent and ion exchange chromatography with a monoS-type cation exchange resin, and concentrating up to 2 mg/ml on a membrane with pore sizes from 10 to 30 kDa. Composition contains 0.04–0.15 mg/ml of the ML1 protein and aqueous isotonic saline solution or 0.1–10 mcg/ml ML1 protein, 0.1–1 mg/ml ferromagnetic nanoparticles and aqueous isotonic saline.
EFFECT: invention provides a lectin ML1 from mistletoe white with a purity of at least 95 % and a pharmaceutical composition based on it, having an immunostimulating, antitumor effect and stability for two and a half years.
