SUBSTANCE: electrotechnical sheet steel with insulation coating contains electrotechnical sheet steel and insulating coating formed on electrotechnical sheet steel. The insulating coating contains Si and Fe. The weight of Si in the insulating coating based on SiO₂ is from 50 to 99% of the total weight of the coating. The molar ratio (Fe/Si) of Fe content to the Si content in the insulating coating is from 0.01 to 0.6. The insulating coating can comprise an organic resin and/or lubricant, wherein in the insulation coating the ratio (C (organic resin + lubricant)/(Fe₂O₃ + SiO₂)) of the weight in the coating of the organic resin and/or lubricant based on the C weight sum in Fe coating, based on Fe₂O₃ and the weight of Si coating based on SiO₂ is from 0.05 to 0.8.
