FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to applied optics and can be used in acoustooptical monochromators, spectrometers and image spectrometers. High-aperture two-crystal acoustooptic monochromator consists of an optically connected light polarization selection input element, a first cell AO, an intermediate light polarization selection element, a second cell AO, an output element for light polarization selection. To increase the aperture of a two-crystal monochromator AO, the reflecting facets of the AO cells acting as the dilution polarizers play the role of the input and output elements of the light polarization selection.
EFFECT: invention relates to applied optics and can be used in acoustooptical monochromators, spectrometers and image spectrometers.
