FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: strain of A/Japan/GK/6:2/2014 RA-36 (H2N2), Influenzavirus A, H2N2 subtype, obtained using methods of classical genetic reassortment of A/HongKong/1/68/162/35(H3N2) donor strain and epidemic A/Japan/305/1957 (H2N2) virus and deposited into the State virus collection of Federal State Budgetary Institution "Federal Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after N.F. Gamaleya of the Ministry of Health of Russia under No. 2834. The proposed strain is a reassortant with a genomic formula 6:2 in which 6 genes originate from internal and nonstructural proteins (PB1, PB2, PA, NP, M and NS) from A/HongKong/1/68/162/35 (H3N2) virus and 2 genes (HA and NA) from A/Japan/305/1957 (H2N2) virus. A/Japan/GK/6:2/2014 RA-36 (H2N2) virus can be used to produce inactivate and live influenza vaccines against a potentially pandemic virus of A/H2N2 influenza.
EFFECT: strain shows a high hemagglutinating and infectious activity in comparison with the wild strain, and demonstrates properties of temperature sensitivity and cold adaptation.
