FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of erecting earthquake-resistant structures. Connecting element for the units of an earthquake-resistant structure consists of an elastic cylindrical body with mounting discs fixed to its ends, and the cavity of the cylindrical body is filled with damping material. Body is made of two flanged, oppositely disposed and coaxial cylindrical threaded bushes with mounting discs rigidly attached to their end part. On the mounting discs the elements for thread joint of bushes into the single cylindrical body are configured. Body is made of elastic material, for example, spring steel with elastic properties, and its cavity is filled with damping material, for example, vibro-damping mastic compound of "VD-17" type. Within the elastic cylindrical body an elastic core is coaxially located; along the axis of the core the damping disks are rigidly fixed along the entire length of the cavity, and the outer discs are fastened to the mounting discs made of vibro-damping material; in the cavities between the disks there are helical coil springs. Mounting discs rigidly attached to the flanged oppositely disposed cylindrical threaded bushes are made of a combination of at least three layers: the outer ones are rigid, and the third layer, arranged between them, is damping. At least three elastic rods of less rigidity than that of the elastic core are placed inside the elastic cylindrical body coaxially to the elastic core. They are fixed in the damping disks in such a way that their external surfaces touch the inner surfaces of the helical coil springs.
EFFECT: increase the effectiveness of seismic resistance due to the spatial protection from seismic waves by introducing each unit into a single earthquake-resistant structure by means of connecting damping elements.
