SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing methods of intermediate billets from intermetallide titanium alloys, based on the orthorhombic phase of Ti2AlNb, which are intended for further shaping operations, for example, for manufacturing the gas turbine engines high-pressure compressor blades. The manufacturing method of bar stock from alloys, based on titanium intermetallide with the ortho phase includes heating and preliminary deformation of the ingot to produce the billet, intermediate and final deformation of the billet and final heat treatment. The intermediate deformation of the billet is carried out by the upsetting with the degree of 25-40% by carrying out from 2 up to 5 deformations, combined with pressing with degree of 55-70%, while heating the billet before the first from the intermediate deformations is carried out stepwise up to the temperature Tpp+ (100-200)°C with holding for 2-3 hours, and each subsequent from the intermediate deformations is carried out at the temperature of 50-100°C from below the previous one, with holding time at 0.5-1 hour less than the previous one, and the last from the intermediate deformations is carried out at the temperature of Tpp- (20-50)°C, at that the billet final deformation is carried out by forging with the total degree of not more than 30% at the temperature of Tpp (80-120)°C.

EFFECT: stable characteristics of the bar stock strength and plasticity from the alloy, based on orthorhombic titanium aluminide due to the creation of the highly dispersed structure, uniform in cross-section.
