FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: method for preparing associated petroleum gases by selective steam conversion involves catalytic conversion of heated steam-gas mixture, cooling and separating converted gas to produce prepared gas. The associated petroleum gases are mixed with water, heated with the converted gas in a reflux condenser and recuperative heat exchanger, and then in the heater, the produced steam-gas mixture is subjected to selective conversion with incomplete conversion of C2+ hydrocarbons. The degree of conversion and the quality of prepared gas is controlled by changing volumetric feed rate of the steam-gas mixture within the limits 1000-30000 h-1 and conversion temperature in the range 250-450°C.
EFFECT: increase and control the quality of the prepared gas, reduce consumption of energy and reduction of metal capacity of equipment.
