SUBSTANCE: massage device includes a massage unit and a control unit. The massage unit comprises a base and a mattress, connected by releasable contact connection, constituting at least one sealed elastic chamber filled with magnetic fluid. The base includes a plurality of planar electromagnetic coils arranged relative to each other with gaps, connected to the control unit and arranged to form a contact surface facing the mattress. The electromagnetic coils are arranged to create a magnetic field directed perpendicularly to the plane of mattress placement, and the gap between two successively placed electromagnetic coils is selected, to provide the maximum value of the magnetic field power generated by the two coils along the midline between them on the one hand, and with minimal action of inductance of the electromagnetic coils in series on the other hand.

EFFECT: invention allows to provide massage operations with the entire contact surface of the massage device, using the claimed device, it is possible to perform local massage providing the massage effect of individual parts of the patient's body placed on the massage device surface.
