FIELD: optics; manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus for pulling optical fibre. Optical fibre pulling apparatus comprising a common base on which two movable supports are mounted with clamps for fixing the pulled portion of the optical fibre, a gas burner placed therebetween with a positioning system and a temperature sensor, as well as a pulling control system. Clamp of at least one of the supports is cantilever mounted on a strain gauge rigidly fixed to said support and enabling the measurement of fibre tension. Pulling control system comprises a control unit connected to the movable supports and strain gauge.
EFFECT: reduced number of rejects.
