FIELD: measuring technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of microresonator optical devices, to surface axial nanophotonics (SAN) devices in which optical microresonators of whispering gallery modes and systems of such microresonators are formed on the outer surface of an optical fiber having a cylindrical shape and are excited using stretched microfibers. A method for determining the binding strength of stretched optical fibers with a cylindrical microresonator of a surface axial nanophotonics device is claimed, in which a signal is transmitted to the first stretched optical fiber in optical contact with the microresonator, then the signal through the non-resonant modes of the whispering gallery of the microresonator enters the second stretched optical fiber, while the receiving second stretched optical fiber is in optical contact with the microresonator with its own constriction. The power transfer coefficient from the first stretched fiber to the second is measured, according to which the coupling coefficient for the exciting fiber is determined, while the first and second stretched fibers have a similar shape.

EFFECT: rapid determination of the connection between a stretched optical microfiber and a cylindrical microresonator for arbitrary contact points along the microfiber.
