FIELD: fibre optics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to fibre optics, namely to methods and devices for stretching sub-long-wave optical fibre. Method includes procedure of fibre preform preparation, fibre drawing, fibre gluing on fork and its packing into container. Operations are performed successively in one technological process in the fibre drawing zone and in the fibre gluing and packing zone. At that, transfer of fibre between zone of drawing and gluing and packing is performed by means of horizontal platform. Before the fibre drawing procedure, the fibre is pre-heated. In the drawing process, the oxygen-hydrogen burner nozzle swinging algorithm is used along the drawing axis with an initial swing amplitude of 1.5 mm, an amplitude increase factor for one period from 0.1 to 0.15 and a stretching rate from 0.1 mm/s to 0.2 mm/s. Device for implementing the method comprises a common base, a nozzle, small slides with magnetic holders for fixing the stretched fibre section and a heating element in the form of an oxygen-hydrogen burner. Base is made in the form of a horizontal platform, which enables to install observation and control devices in two perpendicular directions.
EFFECT: high efficiency of making sub-long-wave optical fibre with an isthmus diameter of up to 400 nm and a transmission of about 80%.
