SUBSTANCE: unit and method for completing lateral wellbores is described. This well completion assembly comprises an interface with main and lateral sections, as well as a lateral completion string and a locking device connected to the end of the lateral section located from the side below the wellbore, and the end of the interface located on the side above the wellbore, respectively. The working string located inside the lateral section, the fixing device and the lateral completion string contains a setting device which is removably connected to the locking device and the completion tool assembly located within the lateral completion string. The completion assembly is run in the wellbore through the working string. Once the locking device is secured, the working string moves the completion tool assembly within the lateral completion string, such as for gravel packing, hydrofracturing, hydraulic fracturing, combined with gravel filter installation, acid treatment, cementing, perforation and packer filling. After completion of the wellbore, the completion tool assembly is removed through the lateral section of the interface.

EFFECT: improved well completion efficiency.
