SUBSTANCE: invention relates to obstetrics and is intended for prediction of preterm labor by determining level of catalase activity in pregnant women's peripheral blood. Method for predicting premature births is to determine catalase activity in plasma of peripheral blood and to calculate probability of preterm labor by formula , where p is probability of developing preterm labor, Katalaz – level of catalase activity in ED/ml; Euler e-constant is approximately 2.718281, and with probability greater than or equal to 0.5643984, premature births in next 7 days are predicted.

EFFECT: method for predicting premature births is proposed.
