FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to obstetrics, as well as to scientific research of pathological physiology. In pregnant women with a moderate course of COVID-19 in the third trimester, content of 8-isoprostane, pg/ml, and 12-hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid, ng/ml, are measured in peripheral blood by enzyme immunoassay. Premature onset of labour is predicted by calculating a prognostic index (PI): PI = -7.607 + 0.022 × 8-isoprostane + 0.309 × 12-hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid, where PI is a discriminant function, the boundary value of which is 3.244. If PI is equal to or greater than the boundary value, premature onset of labour is predicted. If PI is less than the boundary value, the absence of premature onset of labour in women with moderate course of COVID-19 in the third trimester is predicted.
EFFECT: method enables to predict premature onset of labour in women with moderate course of COVID-19 in the third trimester.
