FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of sorption processes and can be used to create a sorbent for the gold mining and nuclear industry, in particular for the recovery of noble, radioactive and rare metals. A method includes electrochemical machining under the conditions of polarization of an electrically conductive substrate in a chitosan solution and holding at a predetermined potential followed by water washing and drying the material. Preliminary chitosan is treated with glacial acetic acid, and the treatment product are used to produce an electrolyte in 20-80% by weight, acetic acid with a chitosan concentration of 0.1-3% by weight. Electrochemical deposition of chitosan on the electrically conductive substrate from an electrolyte solution is performed when it is cathodically polarized.
EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining a material having a high sorption capacity, in particular in relation to gold and uranium.
