FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: device for granulating liquid sulphur includes a granulator 1, a loading pipeline 15, a process unit 4 for feeding liquid sulphur and discharging granulated sulphur, a liquid coolant supply pipe 16. The granulator 1 is in the form of a heat-insulated chamber with the inner surface of cylindrical shape, in which a technological unit 4 is vertically and coaxially installed for simultaneous involvement in the liquid sulphur granulation and extraction of granulated sulphur. The technological unit 4 is equipped with a distributing element 7 for supplying liquid sulphur into liquid coolant through holes for producing granules of given diameter, and a screw surface in the form of an auger 8 for extracting granulated sulphur and mechanical transmission 9, which provides rotation of the technological unit about its axis from the variable-speed drive 10. Liquid coolant is supplied to the granulator 1 at its lower central point. The distributing element 7 is located below the liquid coolant level in the granulator 1 and installed in lower part of the inner cavity of the technological unit pipeline 4. The distributing element 7 is in the form of two perforated metal plates 12 - the upper and lower ones, between which a heating element 13 is located. The loading pipeline 15 is configured for supplying liquid sulphur into the inner cavity of the technological unit 4 in the distributing element 7 zone in amount sufficient to maintain the level of liquid sulphur in the technological unit 4 at least 0.7 to the level of liquid coolant in the granulator 1 from the top plate of the distributor element 7. The zone for extracting sulphur granules from the granulator 1 is equipped with a flanging 3 and a blower 19 and provided with a funnel-shaped receiver 20 of entrained liquid coolant, a polyethylene glycol is used as a liquid coolant 16. Polyethylene glycol is used as a liquid coolant.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the quality of granulated sulphur and efficiency of the process due to minimal possible consumption of liquid nitrogen.
