FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to noise suppression technique. Muffler includes a body made in the form of a cylindrical shell, rigidly connected to the end plates with an axially symmetric cylindrical shell, fixed with an inlet and outlet nozzles, cylindrical shell, on the inside, is lined with a sound-absorbing element, and a resonance chamber of the muffler is attached to the end plate on the side of the outlet branch, axisymmetric to the body, which is made in the form of a cylindrical sleeve with a partition, and there are, at least two, resonant inserts, fixed to the sleeve perpendicular to its axis, wherein the partition of the resonant chamber of the muffler is connected by a diffuser with an inlet pipe, and calibrated holes are made in the diffuser, and the resonant chamber is lined with sound-absorbing material, and a part of the end plate, on the side of the resonance chamber, is also lined with sound absorbing material.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of noise suppression.
