FIELD: acoustics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to noise suppression. Muffler contains housing consisting of rigidly connected to the end round disks cylindrical shell, to the inlet and outlet branch pipes, respectively, in the housing, perpendicular to the aerodynamic flow movement direction, at least three reactive chambers formed by circular disks with holes are located, wherein the openings in the discs are alternately displaced relative to the body axis in such a way, that the openings in two adjacent discs do not coincide, wherein three series-connected jet chambers are connected with body inlet air pipe, as well as to the combined chamber and the outlet branch pipe, combined chamber is formed by the annular perforated disc and end circular plate, which are interconnected by means of central bushing, which inner surface is lined with sound absorbing material, and coaxial to the cylindrical shell, and each of the sound-absorbing annular elements installed in the reaction chambers is made in the form of rigid and perforated walls, a sound-reflecting layer adjoining the rigid wall, and a sound-absorbing layer adjoining the perforated wall, wherein sound reflecting material layer is made from complex profile composed of evenly distributed hollow tetrahedrons, allowing to reflect sound waves incident in all directions. Sound-absorbing material used is mineral wool on basalt base of “Rockwool” type, or mineral wool of “URSA” type, or basalt wool of P-75 type, or glass wool with glass felt lining, at that, the fibrous sound absorbers surface is treated with air permeable porous paints, or is covered with air permeable fabrics or non-woven materials.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of noise suppression.
